Please Sponsor Peter

Great News!

Frank now has a sponsor! Thankyouuuu! We are sooo happy!!

That now leaves 5 boys who need a sponsor so that they can go to school. I will be putting up a new profile for each boy every now and again so that you can get to know them.

Let me introduce you to Peter..

Peter came into Uganda as a refugee from Rwanda. His dad died in the war, leaving him with only his mother. His mother then was involved in a serious car accident and lost her legs, leaving her unable to work and therefore unable to afford to look after Peter. So Peter joined a project in a community in Uganda which helped vulnerable children. Unfortunately, this project collapsed due to lack of funds and support so Peter was forced to return back to his mothers home. He made his own way back home only to find that his mother and the other refugee's were no longer there as they had gone back to Rwanda without telling him. Peter was left to struggle on his own, at this young age, on the streets of Uganda. The Mydel Home has now taken him on board so thanks to you he is being fed and cared for in a loving home but he still cannot afford his school fees. He needs a sponsor to enable him to get back to education, to help him build a successful future. If you can spare £50 every three months to grant Peter a hope and education then please donate to the right of this page and/or email me on tiarna4jc@hotmail.com.

Thank you.

Back to some good news! Hopefully some of you who have been following this blog from the beginning will remember a girl called Rachel? Rachel joined the boys on the Dewe project and grew very talented in baking cakes, creating clothes and decoration. I met up with her in Uganda and she is doing sooo well! She is now working in Kampala selling boutique clothing and is also doing some free-lance work, making cakes and decorations for those who request it for special occasions. Unfortunately her uncle's business, which was supporting her family financially, went up in flames a few months back. Thankfully Rachel is earning enough to give her family, who are struggling in the slums, some small financial support. A true success story! It just proves that if we can educate this children and provide them with valuable skills they can really make something of themselves. I was able to support and encourage Rachel enough for her to grow in confidence and determination to change her future and she has done it.

I'm soo proud of her!

******I would like to send out a special thanks to Brislington Fellowship, The Sponsors, My Family, Matt and his family for being such a huge support financially and emotionally throughout this trip. May God bless you all heaps :)
