I thought I'd post again because even though I haven't had the opportunity to go out to Uganda in a while the project is very much still running and I still need all the support I can get!
I phone the boys every week and they seem to be settling in to the house and routine just fine.. the only problem is now is the house is proving to be far too small.. its just two rooms with triple decker beds and they share a toilet with the locals in the slum area so it's far from ideal... currently quite a few of them are suffering for malaria and fever so it's very tough for them right now.. I spoke to them on Friday and was tempted to get the next plane out just to give them all a hug!
The plan: To get a better building! I will rent another building if I have to but if I could buy a building outright that would be amaaazzzziiiing... I would like enough land for vegetables and chickens, their own toilet and kitchen and enough space for the growing number of boys!
I've worked out I need around £5,000 to get a really great place for the boys but I've been a student for a year and I'm struggling to even buy myself a drink right now. If any of you have any fundraising ideas please send them my way! I'm entering my third year running this now and I feel like I'm constantly asking the same people for money so I'd love to do something which reaches more people and raises awareness of the situation out there.
Email me on tiarna4jc@hotmail.com if you have any ideas, or just donate to the right of this page and it will go straight into the MYDEL Ugandan account and I ensure it goes on whatever you specify.

News Just In! I'M GOING TO UGANDAAAA! In a week, for a week!! Thanks to Brislington Fellowship and brilliant Pilot contacts. I'm soo exicted!
After finding out that Redondo (the Mydel Home Leader) has been seriously ill in hospital and consequently struggling to support the home whilst in recovery, I decided to visit the home, help out and hopefully boost the boys morale! Due to study and finance I haven't been for a year so I'm going to get a real feel for what the home is like now and how well it is running. I know the house needs painting and revamping a little so I will get that sorted thanks to your donations. I even managed to get some netting for free to use as mosquito nets! I have a huuuge amount of clothes and various items which have been building up for Uganda in my shed so I am filling my suitcase to the brim with things for the boys and team.

They are planning a Christmas Party on December 11th so I would love to send over enough money for everyone to get a present, so please donate for that if you can!
I will be blogging when I can.. realistically every other day but I'll try and keep you informed as much as possible because so much is going to happen in just the few days that I am there. Seriously couldn't do this without you all!
The boys express their love and appreciation to every supporter and sponsor every week so give yourself a huuuge pat on the back!
Speak very soon (!),
Tiarna xx
P.S If you are new to the site please take a look at some of the older pages as it explains more about what I've been up to and there are video links to the right of the page! Thanks! xx
Keep up the good work, T.
